01 — The Origin

A Notebook on the Way to Work

Tarevon Letters began as a personal record. Marcus Hidayat, a long-distance runner and nutrition-curious reader, kept a running log of supplements he was reading about — cross-referenced with published research, personal observations, and conversations with fellow active men in Jakarta. The notebook filled up. It became a blog. The blog attracted writers. It became a publication.

The original observation that shaped the editorial focus remains unchanged: most writing about men's daily nutrition either oversimplifies the subject or leans on authority it cannot justify. Tarevon Letters occupies the space between — careful, plainly written, and always traceable back to a published source or a documented routine.

Each piece published here began as a question worth answering slowly. The editorial process respects that slowness. No pieces are written to fill a calendar. Every entry exists because a writer found something worth noting.

02 — How We Work

Four Principles Governing Every Article

01

Source Before Statement

Every factual claim about nutrition, supplementation, or daily routine is traced to a published nutritional research source before it appears in an article. Writers are required to hold the source document, not summarise second-hand references.

02

Second-Editor Review

No article is published without a second editorial review. The second editor checks factual integrity, source availability, and vocabulary — with specific attention to claims about daily nutrient roles and supplement practices.

03

Commercial Independence

Tarevon Letters does not accept sponsored articles or product placements. Writers disclose any personal affiliation with a brand or product mentioned in their piece. Editorial decisions are not made based on advertiser relationships.

04

Corrections Are Public

When an error is identified — whether factual, interpretive, or contextual — the correction is noted publicly within the article. Corrections are dated and attributed to the reporting party where appropriate.
